Creekside Inn is
located on 3 quiet wooded acres and Oak Creek runs through the property
yet it is easy walking distance to Gallery Row in Sedona and just 3/4
of a mile from uptown Sedona.
The area the Inn
is situated in was one of the earliest settlements in Sedona, circa
1902. Under the Inn is the basement of one of the first homes built
in Sedona. The Structure of the current Inn was built in 1988 but totally
remodeled as a Bed and Breakfast in 1995. Next door stands the original
Sedona dairy, which has been remodeled as a private residence. The original
river rock stonework can still be seen on the sides of the building.
The Inn is perfect
for a quiet getaway or as the home base for a Northern Arizona vacation.
Guests can catch brown or rainbow trout in the creek, relax on the porch,
take a short walk to Marg's Draw Trail head for a brisk hike, walk to
galleries and restaurants or just find a secluded spot to read or watch
nature on one of the many benches located throughout the property.
About the Innkeepers
a passion for traveling that has carried them to bed-and-breakfasts
in some of the world's most popular locations such as Switzerland, France,
Germany, Holland, Mexico, Asia, the Caribbean and the U.K., Mark and
Tammy Charlesworth are certainly no strangers to the hospitality industry-especially
from the point of view of the visitor. The couple's unique perspective
on the "visitor experience," along with their meticulous attention
to providing first-class service at every level, becomes abundantly
evident the instant you step inside Creekside Inn, where they have been
the innkeepers since early 2001.
Born in St. Albans,
England, Mark's career as a marketing and business executive with such
corporations as DuPont and Intel eventually brought him to Huntington
Beach, CA, where he met his wife Tammy, who was working as a cosmetologist.
Since being married, the two have lived on both the east
and west coasts while raising their three children, identical
twins Tristan and Jeffrey, and daughter Christina. They
have a white German Shepherd
Mark counts among his interests fast cars and
golf. Tammy, in addition to her
devotion as a mom, is very involved in arts and crafts (a talent which
she has passed onto their children) and has studied gourmet cooking
with Chef Patrick.
Upon retiring from
Intel in early 2001, Mark and Tammy relocated their family from Scottsdale,
AZ to Sedona and became the innkeepers of Creekside Inn. Since then they have put all their children through Sedona Red Rock High School, the boys Tristan and Jeffery, have graduated ASU and the daughter Christina, is at ASU.
